The Academic Lead (Health Services Administration) plays a key role in providing strategic leadership to the Health Services Administration system. Working closely with the School of Applied Psychology executives, including the School Head, School Vice President (Learning and Teaching), and School Vice President (Research), the Academic Leader (HSM) facilitates robust research, learning, and teaching cultures in the HSM discipline. The Academic Leader oversees accreditation processes and leads engagement with the professional community at the state, national, and international level. The position also serves as Program Director for HSM Programs and Lead for the HSM International Discipline working closely with the International School Leader and Head of School on marketing HSM programs and activities internationally and ensuring high quality of service and pastoral care for international students.
To be successful in this role you will hold a PhD in an HSM related field with current membership or eligibility for membership as a Fellow of the Australian College of Health Services Management. You will be recognized as a leading authority in health services management Have demonstrated academic leadership experience in teaching, research and scholarship including a proven track record and reputation for research that has a measurable impact on policy and practice Has attracted nationally competitive research and other funding Can contribute to the field The school’s research strength. A proven track record of successfully attracting and supervising PhD students will be important
